For schools this place is a good place within a reasonable distance to camp at, also includes many facilities such as a new shower block at the lair (problems with gender segrigation) with very likable staff, with Good safety and most have years with working with scouts. who are difficult to manage. the campsite has many Australian wildlife, such as kangaroos, kookaburras and more. it offers a semi challenging terrain and it a pretty large space, taking around 30 mins to go from one side to another, without prior experience only the place it's easy to get lost in the bush, as a scout patrol leader. I always have a map of the whole place and have a experienced navigator along. go schools I advise going in smaller groups with 2 adults with Good radios. since 30 people on one activity is not fun when you only get to go once in a session. absailing and aerial runway (flying fox) are my favourites. would not recommend tunnels since it is very difficult for kids. I always keep a fixed blade knife while going around (although not allowed). a Ute or golf buggy is useful for transporting injured or disabled people around the terrain. if planning a camp ARRIVE AT DAYTIME difficult for large and small vehicles to maneuver at night.7

Nice place in the bush for outdoor activities. Not sure weather it is open for public camping as I have only been there to drop off school groups girl guides and army cadet groups. But worth looking to see if the public can go there as you can tent or stay in dormitory accommodations. No phone coverage so one can get away from civilization for a bit.
